Tallis Voices
Reconciliation

Friday 17 January 2025
7.00pm in the Nave of Wells Cathedral

We are delighted to welcome back Tallis Voices who once again perform in aid of The Wells Cathedral Chorister Trust. Their programme features some gems of the sacred choral repertoire, focussing on Renaissance music on the theme of reconciliation.

As one of the Cathedral's Promenade Concerts, the audience are free to walk the glorious open space of the building during the performance, the usual chairs all having been removed.

Benjamin Britten
A Ceremony of Carols

Saturday 1 February 2025
1.05pm in the Nave of Wells Cathedral

The Choristers of Wells Cathedral perform Benjamin Britten’s exquisite and much-loved A Ceremony of Carols. Experience this ever-popular and inspiring arrangement of medieval carols for children’s voices and harp, in the beautiful setting of Wells Cathedral. This was the first work Britten wrote for children’s voices, and with his keen ear and extraordinary imagination, he achieved many wondrous and memorable effects.

This year we are particularly thrilled that the Choristers will be joined by HM The King’s Harpist, Mared Pugh-Evans. This promises to be a performance not to be missed!
