In this momentous year, it is time to make a monumental change to the lives of some talented children

Wells Cathedral School is supported by its Royal Patron, HRH King Charles III, and Wells Cathedral Chorister Trust enjoys the support of HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh. With their help, and the help of all our supporters and friends, we can make a real difference.

Wells Cathedral Choir offers fabulous opportunities for musical children to develop their skills whilst benefiting from an all-round education at Wells Cathedral School. It is vital that the Choir can recruit choristers on merit alone with no child being denied a place through their family’s inability to meet the associated fees. Sadly, the limited financial resources of Wells Cathedral Chorister Trust mean that it is not currently possible to support all eligible applicants. Despite all our efforts, voices of the utmost beauty are being lost to the Choir and the world at large.

The Coronation Fund aims to raise £500,000 by September 2024. The funds raised will be restricted to bursaries for families that are unable to make any significant contribution to the fees. Further information is available here
